Teen Hope Tutors/Staff

Our Teen Hope volunteers support teens with homework, study skills, and everyday life skills, organization, communication, and decision-making. They help create a welcoming, encouraging space where young people. Volunteers offer guidance, patience, and a genuine desire to see teens succeed.

Kitchen Help

This volunteer position supports kitchen staff in preparing and serving nutritious meals for teens. Volunteers assist with tasks like prepping ingredients, setting up, and helping with cleanup. It’s a hands-on role that makes a direct impact through food, care, and connection.

Van Drivers

As a volunteer van driver, you’ll safely transport teens from school to the teen center, ensuring they arrive on time and ready to participate in afterschool activities. This role is essential for helping teens access a supportive environment, and requires reliability, a safe driving record, and a friendly, welcoming attitude. Your contribution helps create a smooth, positive experience for youth every day. (hours vary by route 3-4:30pm)

Teaching Life Skills

In this volunteer role, you'll lead engaging sessions at the teen center to teach important life skills—such as budgeting, cooking, job readiness, car maintenance, or music. By sharing your knowledge and experience, you’ll help teens build confidence and prepare for real-world challenges. This is a rewarding opportunity to empower youth with tools they’ll carry into adulthood.

Internship

This internship offers students in the mental health field hands-on experience supporting case management or counseling services within a teen center or community setting. Interns will assist with intakes, documentation, resource referrals, and may observe or co-facilitate group sessions under supervision. It’s a valuable opportunity to learn about client care, community-based support, and the day-to-day work of mental health professionals.
